The Historical Roots of the Palestine, Israel and the Arab-Israeli Conflict
The Palestine, Israel, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict is a pertinent issue that has dominated the Middle East for almost a century. The problem is of great significance because of the deaths in the area and the destruction of people's livelihoods. There has also been a rise in terror groups because of the conflict in that region. No permanent solution has been found to resolve the issue because of hardliners on both sides of the divide. This article can be used to explain how the endurance of the Israel/Palestine conflict is a legacy of collapsing multinational empires starting with the British Empire and the Ottoman Empire. It will also analyze the historical roots of Palestine, Israel, and the Arab-Israeli Conflict.

"Palestine, Israel and the Arab-Israeli Conflict a Primer." vol. 73, no. 2, Feb. 2014, pp. 1-16, the Middle East Research & Information Project. Accessed 9 Dec. 2021.]
The British Empire and the Ottoman Empire were massive and controlled vast land. Before the first world war, the Ottoman Empire controlled most of the Middle East, including Palestine. However, after World War One broke, the empire lost most of its territory, and the land was taken over by the British Empire and the French (Beinin and Hajjar 5). The start of the Second World War was a period that saw the British Empire lose most of its power, including losing the Palestinian land. However, the conflict between the Arabs and the Jews did not stop as the two empires collapsed. The United Nations was given the mandate to deal with the rising tension between the Palestinians and the Israeli because it was believed to be an imperial body (Beinin and Hajjar 7). It had to deve...
