Baseball Game
Baseball is a racket game tracing its origin in America. The sport involves two teams of nine players each; the batting team and the fielding team (Christolon, p.121). Each team, consists of the following positions; pitcher, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, short stop, left fielder, centre fielder and right fielder. There are three tools used in playing baseball; the ball, the bat, which is the tool used for hitting, most often made of wood and thirdly, the glove, which is used as an aid in catching the ball. There are two pitches in baseball game; the inner area of play is diamond shaped while the outer is arc shaped (Christolon, p.121). The inner pitch consists of three bases and a home plate while the outer field is bordered by the first and third baselines.
