The movie is a story about a rich from a family of a snob. The man married a woman from a family of a good-nurtured eccentric family. You can't take with you movies bring about several themes, the theme of wealth, do what you love, family and home.
In the theme of wealth, we see it through these two different families. Mr. Kirby's family is so wealthy and has a significant influence on social and economic power. He lived the American dream of being rich and can afford anything he wants. For example, the house he wanted to buy. For him, it did not matter if anyone else was living in it or not. He wanted it, and that exactly want he gets. For Mr. Kirby, material success and personal fulfillment come first. It is what gave him satisfaction. It is very different from what Grandpa Martin Vanderhof thinks. For him, his joy is making enough money that will sustain you and satisfy your basic wants or needs.
