Raymond Loewy was born in 1893 in Paris with a passion for Physics and drawings; he decided to show a catalogue of the invention; at 14 years, Loewy designed a toy airplane which flew well and sold them in shops. He was a pioneer and peculiar industrial designer of his kind; he created items that have become icons. I learnt that Loewy was a promoter and first celebrity designer. He worked for many people, such as the US government and President Kennedy and worked under pressure, but his instincts were always right. In 1940 Loewy was the only designer person who could cross the USA in a car, train, bus or aircraft that he had designed. Some of his fascinating designs which still exist to date are the Coca-Cola bottle, the Air Force one logo, the Shell oil logo and the US Postal Service logo.
