Training needs assessment helps an organization identify its performance requirements regarding potential employees' relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities. Appropriate training needs assessment will direct the organization's resources to areas with the greatest demand. For example, in the CARE Business Partner job posting, Maersk Line company management understands the organization's needs. It announces that the person must have a direct call-handling experience, show relationship attributes, has practiced listening techniques, and has excellent negotiation skills. Without proper training needs assessment, it would be impossible for the organization to accurately determine the type of a person it needs for the position.
