Introduction
Japanese art has a wide range of means of expression and styles. It has a long history of art and culture that has been passed on for generations. With the various historic Japanese invasion, the country was able to transition from long periods of minimal influence from the outside world to elements of assimilation, absorption, and imitation from foreign cultures. This integration has helped in the complex forms of art expressions.

The Fudo Myoo’s halo is a revered figure whose name means immovable. Fudo Myoo is presented in a sitting or standing position and exudes foreboding. His left hand holds a rope that restrains attachments and ignorance, and the right hand holds the beneficial sword. The sword symbolizes wisdom, and the overall perception of Fudo is a potent spiritual ally. Fudo is an object of veneration and may be deployed for worldly and spiritual benefit. Fudo Myoo is among the solid and powerful deities in Japanese Buddhism. Fudo is a revelation of the central cosmic Buddha and is believed to safeguard Buddhism and its meanings. Fudo was popular in the 12th century and is viewed as the first king of mystical knowledge because he stood for victory and power over desires and passions (Dobbins, 127). A halo flame surrounds him with the ability to destroy lies and ignorance in each human being.
The use of symbolism and Buddhist fire rituals is evident in Fudo. The presence of ashes in the stupa functions to give a complex outlook and multiple themes of symbolism. The symbolism of cremation is clear in the ashes remaining of Buddha's cremation. Cremation is an external projection of inner liberation. It symbolizes a sublimation where the bonds of selfhood are burnt and sovereignty is acquired. “To be efficacious, the ritual must be performed outwardly and mentally at the same time: the Fire of Knowledge is visualized as a burning in the heart" (Dobbins, 2020). The fire burns upwards and awakens a sensation of renewal. These numerous symbols are used throughout the religion.
