Part of team dynamics involves the ability of its members to solve conflicts among themselves. In health, most departments consist of teams of individual members covering a shift together. Due to the continuous care of patients, the caregivers must be in tandem with one another to ensure efficiency and flow of work. In the event of an altercation, the matter should be resolved in the best way possible, as it is paramount for everyone to be in harmony. A study done by McKibben L (2017) states that effective resolution can only occur when there is clear communication, listening, and apprehension of the identified focus of disagreement.
