The Reasons to be Creative and its Importance

Essay Instructions:

Now that you’ve explored the creative process through the discussions, building a definition, and how nature and nurture influence creativity and some of the brain science behind creativity. Write a paper explaining the nature of creativity.
I recommend reviewing the previous links, and I’ve provided additional links that may help.

The key point to cover in your paper: What is creativity? What is needed to be creative? Why do we create? What is the value of creativity? Is creativity teachable? Make sure your cover all the points.

Introduction to Creativity
According to Manuel González-López, creativity is a complex phenomenon that encourages a person to think out of the box and to come up with something unique and extraordinarily special. For example, if you are a music composer, you will always be required to compose new songs and come up with unique ideas. The same is the condition of other fields like science, art, and technology. Thus, we can say that creativity plays an integral part in all walks of life and is more than the general intelligence of a person (González-López 23).
How to be Creative?
There are plenty of ways to be creative: ask lots of questions, be open-minded, generate new ideas and select the right ones from them, learn how to implement the ideas outstandingly, and make something new. For instance, if you are a scientist and want to leave an ever-lasting impression on the world with your scientific discoveries, then you will be required to seek the help of your seniors, dig deeper, find a topic of research, and conduct a series of experiments for some time before concluding the research (González-López 31).
The Reason for Being Creative
There are various reasons for being creative. For example, it helps solve various problems, helps build confidence, gives you new ideas to express yourself, and soothes your nerves to an extent. In addition, people earn a living for being creative. An artist or graphic designer uses his mental capabilities to create new artworks and web pages. They are free to take inspiration from the works done by other people in the same field. However, they cannot call themselves creative if they copy the ideas or concepts of others. Instead, they should focus on coming up with something original and better than the others (Määttä & Uusiautti 131).
