Main Hormones Produced by the Brain
Hormones are chemical substances produced by the brain which coordinate the various activities of the body and its growth. The endocrine glands are the tissues in the body that secrete hormones. Hormones have different effects on the human body with some of them acting quickly to initiate to inhibit a process while others work continually taking a long time to perform their functions. Hormones affect body functions such as metabolism, development, growth, reproduction and sexual function.
