Project Planning - Mobile App Management Essay Paper

Essay Instructions:

REVISION NEEDED
INSTRUCTIONS:
This project failed. Can you modify it with the feedback?
This project topic is: building a new WeChat for Ogilvy.
> Chunk 1: Introduction and Justification: The project description is very underdeveloped. Your relationship with the parent organization is unclear (who are you in that org?) The project justification is problematic (possible issues: Role confusion and/or for-profit/not-for-profit confusion).
> Chunk 2: Project Stakeholders: Project stakeholders’ identification is underdeveloped (possible issues: identification is low on specificity (e.g., could name more specific people and/or companies), needs to better rate power and interest, identification misses some key stakeholders, e.g., those who will be negatively affected by this project and might be against it) Stakeholder communications management plan needs to be improved.takeholder reciprocity is lacking.roject champion is lacking.
> Chunk 3: Project Scope: SMART objective specifics are a bit inconsistent with project description. Deliverables are OK (Improvement areas: deliverables are not phased well and comprehensively and/or deliverables should draw a better boundary around the project). Many work packages need to be redefined (possible improvements: Some work packages are not DUMBS enough, more work packages required, some important work packages are missing, and/or some closure work packages are missing) discussion of scope creep linked to work exclusions is lacking or really underdeveloped. Outsourcing a work packages is underdeveloped (e.g., contract type and/or vendor).
> Chunk 4: Project Scheduling: Project duration needs many revisions (possible improvements: better show the application of some techniques to increase the accuracy of scheduling, and/or use more real-world examples to support the entire duration of the project and work packages.) Predecessors logic and its application in the critical path needs much more attention and better explaination in the text.ll work packages are on the critical path, and none has a slack which is undesirable. The Gantt chart should identify at least one activity with slack and this should be better explained in the text. The Gantt chart is under-developed overall.
> Chunk 5: Project Budgeting: The explanation of the approach undertaken to ensure the accuracy of the estimation is too thin. Very thin details of project funding in the Excel file. Much more details of project costs required (e.g., detailed estimations for 7-8 WPS, guesstimates for all others, all WPs will have a cost, at least labour costs).o or inadequate cash flow details on the Gantt chart bars in the Excel file. The not-for-profit project should breakeven, e.g., the last activity can explain where the remaining money will be spent on.
> Chunk 6: Project Risk Management: Sketchy identification of risks (possible issues: Many key relevant risks are missing so risks are not comprehensive enough (what else can go wrong?), and/or some of the identified risks are unclear or do not make sense)isk analysis is too under-developed or lacking. A risk mitigation (not risk acceptance or transfer) should have been proposed.
> Chunk 7 Project Execution, Control, and Evaluation: issing integration/handover point.issing tollgate (stage gate) and decision about it. It is unclear how the final success of the project will be measured (e.g., which dimension of the iron triangle of project management is the most important one, lined to the SMART objective of the project).
> There are several inconsistencies in the information provided throughout the document. Inadequate presentation overall with many revisions required (possible issues: The text repeats some theory but instead should focus on applying theory and reporting the results, The text is a bit wordy, typos/grammar mistakes in the text, and/or more visual elements could be included.)he document needs to be completely revised to become convincing.s needs to be totally revised to become a convincing project plan.
