There are many potential opportunities to undertake an industrial, managerial placement and various challenges to consider. First, it can take a lot of time and work to secure an industrial placement program. You get lucky after applying for several industrial placements and finally land on a perfect industrial placement program. The major challenge is if the supervisor in charge is unreliable. If the supervisor neglects their work of inducting one into the company, it would be difficult because an individual will not gain any experience. The second challenge is interpersonal issues on the job. If the co-workers are uncooperative, rude, or hostile, the experience is often harmful; the placement can have a negative experience (O’Donovan, 2018). The potential opportunities involved during work placement involve job opportunities. This means that the work placement is very much beneficial as I can recognize my future career path. Work placement will aid in providing the best experience to help me determine the best field of interest that I can pursue. The second opportunity is that it will help improve practical skills because of learning in the area of work one wants to follow.
