Ethics in advertising refers to a set of well-defined principles which govern the ways of communication taking place between the seller and buyer. Today, caution seems to have been thrown to the wind because of intensive competition and it has birthed unethical advertising.
Some marketers go to extremes to attract and retain customers and some of their methods are professionally unethical. These methods might push their sales up in the short term but they are ineffective and damaging in the long-run.
