The mission of Our Covenant Health Centre is to provide community-based care for area residents and the neighborhood. The mission of the hospital is categorizes it into a community-based practicing facility. A community-based facility is distinguished both logistically and ethically. In logistical terms, a community-based practice is limited to the needs of a particularly defined community whose goals and needs establish the purpose and the activities that the facility undertakes (Jennings et al., 2003). Therefore, in the logistical perspective, the health care facility is established by the community and to serve their needs. Our Covenant Healthcare Centre is logistically supported by the local people within the community which makes it a community-based facility that should prioritize the needs of the community members.
