Background to the Event
This charity event is scheduled to be held at the school hall, on 27 March 2022, between 1-4 pm. The charity event venue is located within the precincts of Challney High School for Boys. The secondary school, which educates 11–16-year-old boys is situated in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. The school can be accessed next to the junction with M1, on the main A505 (Community Hire, 2022). Besides the school hall, the venue has three other indoor facilities available for hiring thus; the main assembly hall, a sports hall, and a gym. The fair cost of hiring this venue sits well with the budgetary provisions of the charity event given that as a charity fundraiser, the organizers are keen on keeping the event overheads at the bare minimum.
In addition, the Community Hire, an agency dealing with the hire of this venue, is offering an assurance of the safety and security of the owners and hirers amid terrorism threats and the social distancing measures brought about by the emergence of the global Covid-19 pandemic, and a connection of the local community to the local people. The event targets the areas around Luton which include; Hitchin, Dunstable, Harpenden, Saint Albans, Stevenage, Letchworth, Leighton Buzzard, and Hemel Hempstead.
Bedfordshire is an old county situated in East England comprising Central Bedfordshire, Luton, and Bedford. Luton, where the venue is located, is part of the two large centers that have more than half of Bedfordshire's population, and as such, the venue is ideal since there is an expectation that the number of attendees will be impressive. The economy of this area is supported by several industrial companies that have set up their businesses in the area. Therefore, there’re high hopes that the population will turn up in large numbers to support the event given their stable economic status. There will be lots of stuff to expect including, face painting, henna art, desserts, popcorn/candy floss, continental food, clothes, free parking, and amazing raffle prizes to be won.
