The New Nationalism Speech of Theodore Roosevelt, which was delivered in 1910, has some similarities and differences compared to the New Freedom speech by Woodrow Wilson. Roosevelt's speech was all about expanding the economic prosperity of the United States through national pride. On the date mentioned earlier, Roosevelt's speech was orated in Kansas. Additionally, it aimed at planning an attack on the domination of policies through business interests. An additional argument was on the protection of human welfare as well as property rights by the government that in comparison with human welfare, property rights were less important. Roosevelt also alleged that concentration in the industrial sector was a natural part of the economy. On the other hand, the New Freedom speech by Woodrow Wilson called for less government but with additional three controls. These three controls included tariff reforms, business reforms, and banking reforms. Unlike Roosevelt's speech, Wilson's speech valued security and order. Wilson preferred to deal with guidelines and qualities that are well known and clearly defined so as to meet the set national and personal objectives. Nevertheless, there were similarities between Wilson's and Roosevelt's speeches. Both speeches agitated for progressive development, traits and ideas. Additionally, both speeches believed that fairness within the working class was pretty important.
