Today's world greatly depends on technology in running day-to-day activities within different fields. Technology is designed to make our lives easier by performing tasks or providing knowledge to perform tasks more simply. Technological communication is important in the assessment of how the knowledge of technology is put into use and how it is accumulated by users to facilitate the outcomes (Patrucco, 2005). Technologies provide immense opportunities that play an important role in human life. There are attempts to repair the harm caused by technology by modifying the system, called technological fix. This term paper focuses on Artificial Intelligence as one of the emerging technologies.
Artificial Intelligence is the ability of a digital computer or using robotic technology to perform some work that would require a person’s general mental ability. Among the tasks that Artificial Intelligence is made to perform is recognizing what someone speaks, calculations and planning. Artificial Intelligence also helps humans in addressing questions of what knowledge is required in any aspect of thinking, and how that knowledge can be put to use (Saleh, 2019. For Artificial Intelligence to be successful, the system must have a central role in robotics which is the field of perception to action.
There have been different cases of Artificial Intelligence politicians, for example in 2018, Alisa, a woman from Russia who was had digital knowledge ran for the presidency after she had announced her robotic candidacy in the previous year. Another example of an AI politician is Sam from New Zealand who was among the first virtual politicians in the world. Sam was able to reach out to voters and air out his thoughts on the economy through social media. The people of New Zealand could be able to interact with Sam anytime from wherever they are through social media (Symeon & Efthymiou, 2020). Artificial Intelligence makes it easy to run campaigns and makes it easy for politicians to make decisions on their parties during elections. Despite being effective in politics, to some extent, AI has affected the fairness of elections since unauthorized people can access voters' data without their permission and vote for them without their knowledge.
