Racial Disparity in Death Penalty Cases 
According to Kovera (2019), in the United States, black people are depicted as being overrepresented on death row. On normal occasions, capital punishment is imposed on individuals who have committed serious capital offenses like murder. However, the majority of people on death row are black men who have killed white men since killers of black people are less likely to face the death penalty in comparison to individuals that have killed white people (Fraser, 2018). Furthermore, the probability of getting a death sentence increases three and a half times in case the victim is white compared to when the victim is black. Consequently, this greatly contributed to more black people being on death row.
