The author, Riley, discusses the injustices of education inquality in the United States and around the world. The author includes personal experiences to illustrate how educational systems around the world only cater for a small percentage of the world’s population. To end education inequality, the authors argues that governments around the world must distribute funds equally to all schools rather than concentrating on education institutions located in towns. Since teacher bias causes an imbalance in the education of the minority, the authors indicates that schools must acknowledge the existing prejudice and hire teachers who reflect the culture of the students. This article is significant in understanding that education inequality is not caused by harsh economic conditions alone; it is also caused by other factors related to culture, linguistics, and school settings.
