The Authors define politics as human behavior subset that seeks the use of power or influence. More so, the authors assert that politics involves influencing other people's behaviors while wrestling with others' influence. In this sense, they summarize politics as the power relationship that exists between citizens and governments. Notably, my previous general understanding of politics is that it is a practice whereby people have different ideas and view on they should live amongst each other (Jervis 2). The Exit, Voice, and Loyalty (EVL) Theory of Politics seeks to model people's dissatisfaction with negative political environments provided to them.
