Non-Judgmental, Behaviorally Descriptive Documentation: A Day in My Life

Essay Instructions:

In this assignment, practice constructing non-judgmental, behaviorally descriptive documentation by recording one day in your life. Create a one page journal entry (450 words, single-spaced) that describes what you saw, heard, tasted, smelled or touched during one day in your life. The content in your entry is limited to the information that you experienced using your five senses.
Hint: Avoid recording conclusions. For example, instead of recording “Sally was furious,” you would write, “Sally was red in the face and her voice was very loud” or “Sally said, 'I am furious at you.'”

A Day in My Life
Saturday is a free day since I work at home from Monday to Friday as part of my organization’s management. During this time, the lockdown was not initiated; therefore, people were allowed outside their homes during the day. I was excited because I love nature, and going for a walk makes me appreciate nature. When going for walks, I leave my phone behind or any device that will distract from site viewing. I live near a small forest uphill where people go for run. I was determined to have a different experience this day.

The dogs practised teamwork since it was one ball but a huge playing ground. They could take a turn in fetching the ball, and they did not overlap. When the ball could go on the road, the senior dog could fetch and return to the owner. This activity showed a sense of responsibility the senior dog has over the junior dog. The human-canine relationship was traced 15,000 years ago, which showed dogs provided companionship for humans. They tend to bond with people that give them full attention.
