Journal 2: Learn How To Lead A Group

this paper will be about what I did at my internship this week. I lead my first group. I went to internship on Monday and my clinical director said I was going to run a group with Ms woolfolk because a counsel was out the title was What is Addiction I was scared I listen to the counselor and read the sheet in which she gave me to discuss with the clients. I shared personal life about me being a ex addict on crack. that was wrong and I will not make that mistake again. I did call to clients making appointments for the clients to come in for intake informing the client of what her or she needs to bring with them. I also lead a grou with another counselor entiled coping skills. I co-factated two groups this week one with the men and one with men and women I did intake screening clients taking them to the cashier to pay their 3500 admission fee, took client to docotor to drop their urine and anything else my clinical director ask me to do. I run up and down stairs all day from one side of the building to the other. you can use what ever source you want maybe CBT that is just a suggestion. I went and got a workbook on cbt to hand out to the client to do.
