Sexual orientation and gender play significant roles in my life. In particular, I have been used to living as a male. I believe that people should accept themselves for who they are since no one chooses to be either a male or female during birth. However, that does not mean that biological characteristics should be limit an individual. We are living in the age of gender and sexual orientation revolution. In that case, it is wrong to consider only two sexes of either male or female. By doing so, it will be abuse to other people in society, such as transgender. If tomorrow I wake up and find out that my gender and sexual orientation has changed, I will learn how to adapt to my new identity. However, it does not mean that the transition is straightforward. Some of the challenges I expect to encounter include stigma, the lack of self-esteem and confidence to introduce myself to others, and the fear of prejudice and isolation.
