Green Ship Program Process Evaluation Design
The essay evaluates outcomes and conducts Green Ship process logic and impact assessment based on a class PowerPoint presentation. The Green Ship Incentive program comprises a series of processes and has inputs (resources), activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts (Green Ship Program, 2012). The first step in the process is resource input. The process entails the approval of funding by the Harbor Board of commissioners. Following the approval of funds, the next process consists of a series of ship evaluation activities. The outputs of the ship evaluation process are the number of ships that qualify for funding. The qualifying ships are then influenced to change their environmental behavior. The impact is a change in the shippers' behavior and improved air quality for local communities (Drăgan, 2021).
The Resource input stage also comprises of POLB Air Quality Team (Administrator), whose primary role is to reach out to shippers. The outreach process leads to the shortlisting of several ships that eventually participate in the program (Port of Long Beach, 2021). The process has a significant environmental impact which includes influencing new industry environmental standards.
