I agree with you that the five primary components of an effective coach-client relationship are trustworthiness, authenticity, vulnerability, unconditional positive associated regard, and truth. Coaches cannot initiate any change to their clients if they have not developed a trusting relationship with them first. That is the reason why they should be authentic and share their emotions with their clients (Fries-Britt & Snider, 2015). You are right by asserting that clients share their fears when coaches are open to them.

Coaches should guide their clients to ensure that they achieve the set objectives. However, it might be hard for clients to adhere to the instructions if they do not trust, understand, and commit to the trusting relationship (Mach & Lvina, 2017). For this reason, I like your point that coaches should create a conducive nurturing environment to enhance change and accountability for parties involved.
