The performance of the company mentioned appears to be good but I do think that there are also other metrics that we can use to consider the effectiveness of Chick- Fil-A servant leadership model. According to Fidler’s contingency theory, a leadership style can be described as task-motivated or relationship motivated (p. 472). In the case of Chick-Fil- A, the relationship is task-motivated since the company focuses on achieving its goals. There are high chances that the company does not focus on empowering the employees. Employees are supposed to subject themselves to the company authority and carry out their duties without questioning.
