Unemployment and income inequality are one of the primary forces that are pushing toward deglobalization. Evidence suggests that this unfortunate reality is more apparent in developing countries than in developed countries. Pla-Barber and Villar (2019) posit that the VGC structure of the global economy has become more evident over the past decade. This structure is responsible for much of the international trade and employment patterns. The reality of the VGC approach has totally reconfigured how nations conduct trade which in turn has affected the world economy. This restructures in the global economy is the plague responsible for the rapidly widening income gap, specifically in the developing nations. No one level can fully explain the complexities of issues in today’s international politics. As demonstrated in this paper, any single level has specific gaps that it does not adequately address. For example, while the factors in an international system help analysts examine international politics as a whole and thus make generalizations, some scholars argue that this level of analysis lacks details. This assertion suggests that analysts must disregard some crucial specifics to study an issue (Soltani, Naji, Amiri & Street, 2014).
Waltz (1979), in his book “Theory of International Politics,” argued that the international system doesn’t always explain the causes of specific events. He further suggested that this level often overemphasizes the significance and reasons for global polarity and thus pays little attention to the issues of a region. Also, the scholar suggested that the systemic approach can sometimes focus a lot on military security in a country, which again does not give an accurate picture of an issue across a region. However, the international system is excellent in helping analysts make predictions of the behavior of specific actors regarding the “pressure structure of system force.”
