Bob has been selected because of his vast experience and positive attitude. Susan is relatively new to the company, but she has always managed to maintain the quality and is very energetic. Tiffany has been chosen because of the way she works and her habit of being punctual. The reason for selecting Doug is that he is good at meeting the deadline and can work under pressure. At the same time, we have not forgotten his habit of creating a mess for others whenever he is put in a difficult situation. Michael and Natalie are great communicators and can be regarded as problem-solvers. Anyone who can solve conflicts (like Natalie and Michael) is good for this team because of their positive attitude and their unique style of working with the team. Michael has been chosen to be the leader of this team as he is highly qualified, possesses a good personality and knows how to handle complex projects. The first reason for selecting six team members and deciding against the others is that the in-hand projects could never be completed if the team consisted of more than six members. Having a small group or team means we allow everyone to communicate with others without any major problem. Secondly, the team consists of highly qualified, experienced and skilled people, and this means we are ready to use their knowledge and skills to obtain the desired results rather than having a lot of people in the team and confusing things unnecessarily. Thirdly, it would have never been possible for us to organize things if there were more than six members in the team. Currently, our team members are aware of their duties, are extremely organized, and are ready to work for extra hours to come up with the expectations of customers. Last but not least, the team consists of mentally strong people who have vast experience of working under the pressure. They are able to create a clear vision for both their juniors and stakeholders. Since there are only six members in the team and the decision has been taken against the others, it is easy for all individuals to participate in discussion sessions and to develop and strengthen their professional relationship with others. Management Strategies to Motivate the Team and Ineffective Motivational Strategies In order to motivate the team, one of the best management strategies is to pay the team members what they are worth (How Project Teams Create Motivation, 2017). If the manager does not pay them well, then they will soon lose the interest in their jobs and this will cause problems for the company in the long run. Another effective way to motivate them is to provide the team with a pleasant, productive and peaceful place to work.
