Personal Beliefs
Most of my personal beliefs are generally based in the influence on my generation's interactions in social media networks, such as Twitter and Facebook. Usually, I acquire information in a fast-paced manner since most of my friends and family share their own point of views in the different online platforms. I try to internalize and weigh-in into consideration when formulating my beliefs, especially, in the political beliefs. Mostly, my family, the school, and church affected the formation of my own political beliefs. My parents, specifically, pool most of their political beliefs from constant interaction with other neighbors and friends that further deepen their influence in my outlook when it comes to politics. For now, I think that I have a relatively liberal and centrism political inclination.
Generally, I believe some of the advocacies of one political party and at the same time, also believe in other advocacies of another political party, but most of the time, I generally support a moral philosophy relating to liberalism. For example, I believe in the importance of government spending, especially in the issues of health care in the USA. Health care is expensive in the USA, so, the system should not be privatized but should be more affordable or even free if possible. Taxes are important in helping the government help the affordability of health care in the country. Therefore, cutting the taxes on big businesses are preventing the power of government spending which is necessary to support the needs of families within the low and lower middle-income families to have equal opportunities. However, I believe that the people cannot readily accept drastic change that liberalism promote, so, there should be a gradual interval in the process and must have a slightly conservative approach in governance when persuading the people in slowly accepting changes in social policies. Above all this, I believe that there should be democracy and equality before the law.
The Effect of Physical Location
In Ohio, the physical components of land areas such as climate and vegetation present a different mix of raising the differences in the cultural components of the people, such as beliefs, values, general political inclinations and governance. As I stated earlier, most of my beliefs were based on social networks not only because of the current trends with regards to modernity and globalization but because winters in Ohio are dreadful with inches of thick snow and the summers are warmest at times that prevents me from interacting face to face with other people. Ohio is located at the Northern Regions of America that generally considered as a temperate climate that usually have extremes in temperature changes.
I particularly despise the winter in Ohio. I remember the skin freezing coldness of the winter wind that pierce the innards of your bones that seem to also freeze my joints and muscle fibers.
