The dedication of individuals who genuinely believe in God's grace is astounding because they have centered their entire existence around it. I regard the church as an institution willing to carry on Jesus' legacy on this planet. It is expected of the church to assist the less fortunate, and our church provides food for those in need to uphold the legacy of Jesus. We have a pantry because the local families who have settled there are friendly and would smile at us if they saw us. As a result of our close relationship with them, the kids of these families are the most eager to see us.
Given that we are all human and can relate to one another regardless of ethnicity or culture, I believe that my experience was rather typical. As a result, it did not take long to become friends with them. In addition, even though their customs and cultures differ, we learn to respect them and draw inspiration from them.
