Write a 4-page paper in current APA format that conveys your understanding of what is meant by a biblical worldview and a Christian philosophy of education. Also, discuss the implications of these principles in their application to educational practice. Page length requirement begins with the introductory paragraph and ends with the conclusion; it includes neither the title page nor the reference page. An abstract is not required. In addition to the Bible, cite a minimum of four references that represent the body of literature supporting and explaining biblical worldview and Christian philosophy of education. No more than 10% of the paper is to include direct quotes; therefore, you should do much more summarizing and paraphrasing than quoting. Citations are required both for direct quotes and for summarized ideas drawn from references. The format of the paper is to include the sections below with headings that follow current APA format.
• Title Page
• Introduction
Present a strong, clear thesis statement. The focus of this paragraph is to introduce the reader to the thesis statement. The remainder of the paper should support and illustrate the main point(s) of the thesis statement.
• Biblical Worldview
Based upon your readings of the Bible and literature on the topic of biblical worldview, convey a basic understanding of the elements of a worldview that is based distinctively on a perspective of life drawn from Judeo-Christian scriptures. Do not focus on the field of education in this section. A common error is for writers to neglect the discussion of a biblical worldview by focusing too much on the field of education, which is to be addressed in subsequent sections of the paper.
• Christian Philosophy of Education
Based upon your readings of the Bible and literature on the topic of Christian philosophy of education, convey a basic understanding of the elements of an educational philosophy that is based distinctively on a perspective drawn from Judeo-Christian scriptures. Address metaphysical and axiological issues. Metaphysical issues relate to questions of meaning and purpose. Axiological issues relate to questions of values. Minimize the discussion of practical application to the field of education in this section. A common error is for writers to neglect the discussion of a Christian philosophy of education by focusing too much on the implications for educational practice, which will be addressed in the subsequent section.
• Implications for Educational Practice
Discuss the implications of a biblical worldview and Christian philosophy for practical application to the overall field of education. Ensure that you discuss these implications for the field in general, but you may also proceed to specify implications for your particular area of interest. For example, if you are preparing to serve as a content area teacher, a special education teacher, an administrator, or a school counselor, you may—after addressing implications for the overall field of education—address implications for your area of service.
• Conclusion
An effective conclusion affirms the thesis statement and leaves the reader with a clear idea of how thoughts in the paper fit together to make a specific point.
• Reference Page
Cite the Bible in the body of the manuscript, but—per current APA—the Bible and other classical or holy scriptures are not to be listed on the reference page. List here at least 4 references other than the Bible. One your references is to be the course textbook.

Introduction
Each individual has his or her own way of viewing the world. There are various perspectives that can be adapted on how one sees and understands the world, and it is important because from this choice, the way a person’s mind operates, his motivations, actions, reasoning, behavior, etc. is influenced. Some solely rely on science to explain life on Earth and everything around us, while some believe on the power of karma, and there are also others who actively negates the existence of God. These are just some examples of what a person can believe in and in turn these beliefs are reflected in their own lives. A person has a conscious choice of what kind of perspective he will have in viewing the world and how he would make sense of life itself, but these are also influenced by factors such as upbringing, community, education, etc. The focus of this paper will specifically be on the biblical worldview based on Judeo-Christian scriptures and the philosophy of Christian education, including its effect on shaping an individual.
Biblical Worldview
A biblical worldview basically revolves around the teachings and beliefs that are written in the bible. A concept of God, morality, and free will are some of the key points of this perspective. A Judeo-Christian worldview believes that the supreme reason of an individual’s existence is a higher being, God (“Home”, 2010). This means that the motivations behind a person’s thoughts and actions should be for the purpose of loving and serving God.
For the purpose of further defining the biblical worldview, it will be compared to other common worldviews. The biblical worldview is often in opposition with secular humanists or atheists, and Buddhists because their beliefs are centered on the self. A secular humanist views the world similar to how a toddler thinks. This is not in any way derogatory but simply emphasizes that they both believe that they are the center of the universe and for secular humanists, they believe that a person can exhibit morality just by being human, without believing in the presence of a higher being or God. Buddhists on the other hand, believes in a set of practices such as meditation to help in finding a person’s own life purpose. It also follows a set of ethical principles that serve as humanity’s guide in living. Both of these do not support supernatural beings and beliefs (Smith, 2020).
God is considered the truth and the way of life. There are many teachings of Jesus Christ and the experiences of the apostles and other biblical figures that further defines what and ho God is. He has revealed Himself during the creation, in Jesus, and with the bible. Humans are designated stewards of God’s creation here on Earth, giving man the power over other living creatures. Another concept that is vital in the biblical worldview is that humans have an inherent worth, called dignity because as stated in the book of Genesis, man is created in the image and likeness of God (“Home”, 2010).
