Victims of traumatic experiences and crime often suffer several costs or consequences, mainly physical, mental, social, and financial. First, the physical cost of a crime to a victim is often the most visible. For instance, when armed robbers attack one and shoot at them, they may get hurt and suffer from injuries. In most cases, most encounters with crime often result in severe or life-altering physical injuries such as broken arms, head injuries, among others.
