Crime and violence among the youth have increased significantly in the last decade, making it an area of concern globally. The crime takes four significant forms: school violence and bullying, gun violence, disorderly conduct in public places, and underage drinking. The cases have been so severe, leading to the death of young victims. According to World Health Organization (2020), young people between the ages of 10-29 years have taken 42% of homicide cases yearly, which amounts to 200,000 people. Furthermore, homicide is the fourth leading reason for death among young people, 84% of cases involving male victims. Apart from homicide, sexual violence has also been a cause of youth crime and violence. Study shows that 3-24% of women claim that their first sex experience was without consent. The increasing cases of youth violence and crime calls for an urgent solution finding move from the police, government, and the public.
