Reinforcements and punishments can heavily influence behaviour. It has been known that both reinforces and punishes have an impact on guiding individual behaviour. In the given case, to address all the three requests of the older woman, principles of reinforcement and punishment shall be applied.
The first request stated that the children are allowed to play any toys they want. In return, they have to clean their playroom before going to bed. To fulfil this, the principles of reinforcement and punishment will be applied, specifically negative reinforcement. As a babysitter, I will give enough time for the children to play. After that particular period, I will give 10 minutes for the children to start packing up and clean their playroom.
