Three Things I Learnt
Throughout the different readings provided in this course, I learned a few significant concepts regarding development over the lifespan of humans. The first aspect I learned was that different aspects affect their development while children grow. It all begins at birth. Children learn from those around them. It means that the actions of those around the children influence and affect their development. Therefore, there are both harmful and beneficial influences. The beneficial influences are inclined towards enhancing the children’s morality and positive worldviews. I learned that we give little attention to harmful influences that affect children’s development. Notably, diseases, drugs, smoking, radiation, and environmental pollution affect the development of children throughout their lifespan.
