Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the most common neurological developmental disorder in childhood (Lyons & Martin, 2019). ADHD is an alteration of executive function, which encompasses various capacities such as attention, memory necessary in daily functioning. There is a decrease in diagnosis in adolescence as the expression of impulsive and hyperactive behaviors decreases in this stage of life, but attention deficit persists. 
ADHD is characterized by of attention deficit, sometimes accompanied by hyperactivity and impulsive behaviors. Hyperactivity is common when children with ADHD face troubles sitting still for a short period of time, and they appear restless. There is also decreased cognitive flexibility, and there are alterations in the processing of information (Lyons & Martin, 2019). In children, impulsive behavior reflects inappropriate acts for the situations as they act before they think. Those with ADHD tend to face challenges setting goals.
