The education sector has drawn much attention and criticism from various entities in the contemporary United States. Individuals are given the eminent inequalities that prevail in it. Student behavior has also been an area of concern and affects their performance. Most teachers have argued that middle school students are the most difficult to teach. I agree that teaching middle class students are one of the most challenging experiences for a teacher because it is hard to encourage them to learn, school is not a top priority for them, they possess terrible pre-judgment mentalities, they always want to fit in with peer groups, and it is the adolescence age.
It is not easy to get middle school students encouraged to learn. When it comes to lower-class students, learning is enjoyable, which does not happen for middle-class students. They do not love learning from school; instead, they prefer staying home. According to them, school is like a prison that serves no vital purpose. Parents are sometimes forced to buy sweets to encourage them to go to school. School is not a top priority to them. For these students, school is boring, and they also refer to it as a place where only the strong can survive, which becomes a challenge for a teacher to convince them to learn. They mainly possess terrible judgment. This is the age where a student makes a wrong decision and behaves as if it is a normal thing, and when the teacher goes ahead and inquires why they did that, they will stare blankly, wondering whether there should be a reason for everything (Lee et al., 2021).
