Senior high school students are identified as the major victims of depression. Depression is a common psychological problem among adolescents and is expressed through slow thinking, poor diet, sleep, and bad moods. Besides, in critical situations, depression may cause suicidal thoughts and problems. Due to stress, most senior high school students experience anxiety and depression (Gao et al., 2020). Anxiety and depression adversely affect academic quality and development. Based on the methodology, a total sample of 378 students was used to determine the connection between senior high school students' engagement and depression. Besides, 374 questionnaires were used. The key instrument used is SDS, which Zung William established. The instrument is significant since it successfully determined the correlation between student engagement and depression. CD-RISC was also considered to ensure a reliable relationship between depression, student engagement, and resilience.
