Reflection on Intelligence Quotient
The mode of testing intelligence quotient in the three websites is varied. In this case, every assessment has a unique track, for instance, IQ. Test.Com is using mathematics to test intelligence. On the contrary, the 123test website is applying both mathematics and psychology to determine the level of IQ. Pyschtest website is using general questions to assess the intelligence quotient.
Additionally, the total scores for the three websites are also quite different, for example, IQ. Test.Com scores are based on Mathematics analogy, while the Pyschtest relies on psychology. However, the three websites have one objective, to determine the intelligence quotient making it the primary similarity. Moreover, these websites use question and answer technique to gauge IQ (Kanazawa, 2012).
Although the intelligence quotient relies mostly on genetic susceptibility, other factors influence an individual's intelligence level. Some of the factors include education, drug abuse, birth complications, and mental challenges. These are modifiable factors that affect intelligence quotient score health challenges, especially mental problems that negatively impact IQ susceptibility. For instance, intelligence testing sites use a defined structure that relies on critical thinking. They develop questions that measure the brain's intensity in identifying and solving problems, understanding and evaluating complex entities. The environment may have both negative and positive impacts on an individual's level of IQ. Place of residence impacts the ability to grasp and solve problems; in this case, children living in poor environments tend to have low IQ scores (Fletcher, 2011). The level of intelligence is affected extensively by family backgrounds; for example, poor parenting, which leads to stress, affects IQ susceptibility.
