1 How would you classify and describe your parents' child-rearing styles?
My parents used a considerate child-rearing style. Therefore, they practiced the permissive approach. They dealt with their children according to the temperaments the young ones depicted. As a result, how my parents dealt with me was different from their style of parenting my siblings. They observed that I depict a high degree of emotional sensitivity and low activity level. As a result, they spoke to me softly and bought me toys for indoor playing. On the other hand, my brother depicted a high level of aggressiveness, with high activity level. As a result, my parents, in most cases, spoke to my brother using harsh tones to deter him from doing the wrong things. Most of the toys which my brother received from my parents were for outdoor activities.
2 What factors might have influenced their approach to parenting?
Children's temperaments are the factors that influenced my parents' approach to parenting. My father and mother observed their children's behavior and acted in a fashion that complements the characteristics.
3 Do you or would you use the same child-rearing style with your own kids? Explain?
