In the corporate world, Buddhists also engage in businesses or activities that directly impact companies' operations. In order to create an inclusive workplace for Buddhists, it is essential to understand that they do not work to earn a living. Notably, Buddhists work to refine their consciousness and refine their ego. Therefore, work is perceived as an opportunity to learn and expand individual perceptions about life. The paper examines the equity and inclusion issues Buddhists face in the contemporary workplace. There are many areas where Buddhists experience inequalities within the workplace. These aspects require proactive measures to eliminate them and harness the unique needs of these people to advance the organizational goals. One issue that Buddhists experience is a judgmental attitude, where workers despise others based on their perceptions and values. In many instances, Buddhists have been despised because their values do not make sense to those not members of the religion (Marques, 2009; Pio, 2018). Another recurring challenge within the workplace is the lack of proper policies or measures to manage religious differences. Most leaders try to accommodate different religious practices, discriminating or mistreating other workers.
In this regard, major religions such as Islam and Christianity are valued more than minor religions like Buddhism.
