Servant leadership in the workplace is accepting and implementing leadership that puts the individual interest of the leader aside while valuing the interest of others more. This type of leadership contributes towards improving the living standards of the people, as well as development in the community (Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership, 2016). According to the biblical view, servant leadership is practicing godly leadership, as Christ did when He was manipulating and empowering people to carry out God's plan and purpose (Williams, 2015). For one to qualify to be a servant leader they should have the heart of loving everybody equally, and where love exists there is honor. In servant leadership, everybody is respected and protected in case of anything. Servant leadership involves making every member of the organization feel that his or her efforts are appreciated in an organization. Employees feel that they are of value to the organization when they are honored and protected by their leaders, thus increasing the output of the employees.
