The business area that I have selected is leadership in the healthcare industry. There is no such thing as a vacuum in communal living. When one part of society experiences changes, it impacts the entire modern world. The community's response to health issues is influenced by changing societal structures. Healthcare methods and accessibility have evolved to match our demographic and social system appropriately. Therefore, in relation to applying the scholar practitioner model, leadership in the healthcare industry can influence other areas like the environment and humanitarian efforts in many ways. Innovation, incorporation, application, and teaching are the significant interacting ways of acquiring knowledge linked to the scholar practitioner model (Jackson, 2013). Meaning the impact of leadership in healthcare can only be influenced by these interacting ways.
Through discovery and integration, healthcare leadership can contribute to societal change and influence the government and its policies in many ways. For instance, they can provide evidence that will enable the government develop strategies that control natural resources to preclude destruction. Through application and teaching, leadership in the healthcare industry can play an imperative role in advancing humanitarian efforts by saving lives and alleviating suffering. With the authorization of healthcare leaders, basic medical skills could be transferred to regular citizens, which might help in emergencies. In a community with racial discrimination, effective leadership in the healthcare industry can change that by ensuring every patient is treated equally, thus enhancing equity and inducing societal change. Innovation through effective healthcare leadership can lead to the invention and identification of new techniques to protect the environment (Stephan et al., 2016). For instance, the development of renewable energy technology has helped minimize environmental pollution in many ways.
