The business world is always changing, especially in today’s markets the businesses undergo rapid changes owing to the increased globalization and technological innovations. The Kotter’s Model is one of the models developed to facilitate the managers adapt to ever-changing market situations and business requirements. The Kotter’s Model consists of eight overlapping steps which can be depicted in the figure below:

From figure 1, it is clear that the first three steps are designed to create an environment in the organization which facilitates the change. The leadership of the guiding team which is responsible for guiding the organization throughout the change is of crucial importance. There should be a dedicated workforce in the organization which learns to the guide the entire organization through a changing environment. For instance, in the case of outsourcing, the management should be able to educate the rest of the organization about the need and potential benefits of the organization.
