A recent emergency incident that happened in our region was Hurricane Ida. The category 4 Atlantic hurricane was arguably one of the most destructive hurricanes recorded in history. It caused the deaths of many people and led to the destruction of billions of dollars worth of property. From an observational point of view, the hurricane had several risk factors. First, the highest risk was the heightened property loss due to the tornadoes, landfalls, and strong winds.
