Many companies worldwide suffer from a loss of reputation secondary to company ethical issues. Some companies undergo court trials due to these issues. An excellent company practices good ethics, and one of the world-renowned companies that demonstrates integrity is Alibaba.
Alibaba Company Background
The company Alibaba is considered to be the world's largest online business company with millions of users and businesses. The e-commerce of Alibaba is the world's most rapidly growing market with billion dollars total transactions in the past year, scaling to greater than eBay and Amazon when combined. Currently, Alibaba has three sites which are namely, Alibaba.com, Taobao, and Tmall. Aside from e-commerce, Alibaba also ventures into new business opportunities while continuing the innovative nature of the company in catering to the needs of its customers (The Wall Street Journal, n.d.).
The founder of Alibaba is the famous Jack Ma. The principles that the company follows reflect his own beliefs, and one of these is honesty with putting customers before the shareholders. The company has advantages over its competition in the market, and these are its location being in China, where there are many retail opportunities. The scope of Alibaba caters both branded and non-branded products to buyers on a larger scale. Lastly, the increased networking platform between various merchants and buyers plays a major role in the profitability and sustainability of the company, as well as the good relationship that the company has with the government and its stakeholders (Mourdoukoutas, 2014).

Aside from the known business advancements of Alibaba, especially regarding growth and profitability, the company is also known for its corporate ethical culture. The company does not focus on its gains but also puts effort into doing what it can for the society, which is vital in the company's mission and goals.
