St. Hazel Cleaning Company
Our company provides janitorial cleaning services to residential places and offices. As the organization manager, we have developed an elaborate employee orientation program to help the new employee (cleaner) understand and cope with the organization's daily and professional cleaning activities. Creatively, the employee orientation program aims to update employees' professional skills and training to ensure they meet company standards and expectations. St. Hazel Cleaning Company incorporates 700 employees to ensure households and offices are free from dirt, Covid-19 infections, insects, and animals that can damage properties. The orientation program aims to prepare the new worker psychologically to perform their duties professionally and harmoniously (Kausar, 2021). General Orientation
A new employee is informed about the general information of the company. For example, St. Hazel Cleaning Company provides regional cleaning services to clients who want their floors to be scrubbed and mopped while others need their compounds to be slashed, swept, and litters to be collected and burned. Similarly, the organization provides more information about the reporting time at work and the process of requesting work leave. The new employee is informed about the company ethics and discipline needed to thrive. The new worker is also taught about the vices not accepted, such as violence, dishonesty, and disrespect towards the directives given by the top management (Wanous & Reichers, 2000). Furthermore, the managers go through company policies and sign necessary documents such as letters of employment and other crucial employment files to specify that the individual is the legal stakeholder of St. Hazel Cleaning Company.
Work Group Orientation
At the moment, the new employee is introduced to all employees, including the top management of St. Hazel Cleaning Company. The employee is given a chance to introduce themselves on their full names, residential place, beliefs, and a thank-you note. Similarly, the existing employee also presents their titles and duties in the organization. After that, the manager takes the chance to welcome the new employee to the team. On the other hand, the employe...
