Why is it important for administrators to stay current on federal, state, and local health care policy?
Be sure to cite reliable sources in your discussion posts.
Part 4 520 response to Richard

There are several reasons why healthcare administrators should stay current on federal, state and local health care policy. First, to be able to provide the best quality of care to your clients, patients or the public. All healthcare professionals (doctors, therapist, nurses, etc.) are evidence-based practices. Which means they use techniques, styles or care plans for patients with proved outcomes. If these outcomes do not work any longer or if they change to create a better technique then there needs to account to provide the best outcome for the patients, clients or the public.
The second reason to stay current on policy is that healthcare is always changing. This might be to protect the company from malpractice lawsuits or simple to do the right thing. And if the federal, state and local governments all have different policies you as the administrator need to make the decision to what is the correct policy of the time. By knowing the current or correct policy this could help your employee to be able to do the right thing for the patient every time to create a culture of continuity of care. When the federal government changed the healthcare system in the cases of PPACA, the administrator should be the first to know how new changes would affect the hospital or medical clinic. This knowledge would allow them to be able to adapt to challenges and to still create a reduction in cost, while still providing the same level of care (Larrat, Marcoux, & Vogenberg, 2012).
The third reason why U.S. administrators need to stay current on health policy is if there is world pandemic and other countries have noticed a trend to prevent or save lives then this could work for the advantages of this country. Since the U.S. has more money than other countries this could lead to more research and new inventions that could increase serve.

Part 1 540
There has been an emerging need for the creation of a positive organizational climate in healthcare provision. Research has shown that such practices influence job satisfaction which in medicine means the welfare of patients and the nation. The practices entail having solid senior leadership and leveraging the important infrastructures such as technology and communication systems.CITATION Sto \l 1033 (Stone, Hughes, & Dailey, 2008) The technology is crucial because it can be used in diagnosis, treatment and life support of chronically ill patients. Preventing the spread of bacteria and viruses is also being implemented by cleaning hospital facilities and responsibly disposing of medical waste. The medical practitioners also get to wear protective gear to prevent the hard to treat bacteria and viruses.
Discouraged practices in medicine stem from factors such as culture and religion that cause ethical dilemmas in medical practitioners. For instance, some religions forbid the taking of one’s life and in every situation, the saving of life is encouraged. Hastening or triggering the process of death by deprivation of food or water is not allowed. Merciful deaths are acceptable however, the patient can only be offered relief to reduce the suffering. The teachings state that “actions are to be judged by their intentions”
Part 2 530
Information transparency is important in delivering medical care because the systems are entrusted with people’s lives. The government thus enforces the antitrust laws to provide a code to follow between the health care providers and consumers. Competition, however, can cause violation of these laws and fraud is a product of such attempts to manipulate the market and value of services. Fraud in the medical sector affects all departments, the pharmaceuticals, equipment supply, and healthcare delivery. They cause high costs of healthcare such as medicines, treatment and health insurance with the patients having to suffer as a result.
Fraud is a dishonest way of practicing and it violates many ethical principles in medicine. Ethical practices such as confidentiality are violated once the hospitals collude with third parties and share the patient’s information for a price. Medical schemes are largely affected by the vice as syndicates have taken advantage of loopholes in the system to broker medical scheme memberships. These vices are on the rise because medical service is being treated as a commercial opportunity and the decisions being made are shaped by monitory considerations.CITATION DKn14 \l 1033 (Bogaert, 2014) These practices are unethical because they fail to put the life of patients first.
