Multinational enterprises (MNEs) need to have a crisis management plan in place to navigate unforeseen global crises. The following are five preparations that MNEs can put in place to address the needs of employees in the parent company and the subsidiaries abroad.
Firstly, MNEs should constantly update their pandemic preparedness plans to reflect the current situation. For MNEs with such plans in place, updating them will ensure they remain relevant to handle current issues that arise. The revering of the changes should be done frequently, and the information passed to all the stakeholders. Secondly, a crisis management team should be set up. The team will be responsible for initiating the crisis management plans and ensuring their implementation. The crisis management team should consist of key individuals from the various departments.
