From the outset, it is critical to point out that the management of Done-Deal Paper Inc. would have benefitted immensely had it involved its employees in designing and implementing the incentive program. In all honesty, the business environment has become increasingly murky and uncertain, given the upsurge in technological innovations and local and foreign competition, among other challenges. As such, managers must involve their employees when making crucial decisions, especially those that directly impact their welfare. According to Obiekwe et al. (2019), knowledgeable and competent employees play an integral role in the survival and overall success of organizations. In essence, employees are the vehicle that transits an organization from one milestone to another, which underscores the need to integrate them into decision-making.
