Describe Academic Interest Towards Particular Major

Every subject in the field of Business management is indeed interesting and has diverse practical applications. While some of those fields focus on the management of technical infrastructures like Information Systems, some of them considers human organization and management as their main focus. As of today, while taking up my undergraduate studies in this field, I believe that my main focus and interest would be in the latter. In my opinion, the field of human resources management would pique my interests the most because, unlike the management of infrastructures, interacting, managing, and learning from human resources poses one of the greatest challenges and adventure in the field of management CITATION Cha03 \l 1033 (Charlton & Andras, 2003). Human beings are way unpredictable than Information systems that do what they are programmed off. Thus, being able to interview, hire, and provide structure for employees is not as easy as it sounds. I believe that in order for a manager to do this, he/she has to have a keen insight and anticipation as to how each individual employee, as well as their own particular societal culture, could benefit each other and create a workplace culture that would be beneficial, not only for the company but even for their own CITATION Kav17 \l 1033 (Kavanagh & Johnson, 2017).
Adding to this, the reason why being a Human Resources Manager gives me the thrill is due to the fact that I love thinking about efficiency as well as enjoyment and opportunities. By being in the Human resources, I would also be able to create retirement plans and plan incentive packages that would further increase the employees’ dedication towards their work.
